Remove trojan Rutok rootkit
Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock Description
Rustock is a Trojan application that uses advanced rootkit techniques to hide from users. Once installed, it can download additional malware and also display annoying and intrusive advertising. Removal is highly recommended.
To remove all Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock files, you must kill all Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock processes that are running in your computer's memory. To kill Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock processes, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the "Processes" tab, search for Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock, then right-click it and select "End Process" key.
You'll also need to remove Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock registry keys.
To remove Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock registry keys,
click on the Windows "Start" button
and select "Run" to open Windows Registry Editor. A window will popup.
Type "regedit" into the box, and click "OK".
Search for the following registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock."
Right-click it and select "Delete."
Finally, you'll need to manually delete other files to clean your PC of Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock. These Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock can be in the form of EXE, DLL, LSP, TOOLBAR, BROWSER HIJACK, and/or BROWSER PLUGIN. For example, Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock might create a file like
%PROGRAM_FILES%\Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock\Trojan.Rootkit.Rustock.exe. Locate and remove these files.
