What is the best PC anti-virus available?
I am currently using Mcafee virus scan enterprise and frankly, I'm not satisfied with it. But I trust the program so please if anyone knows something better please tell me. Thanks!
searchingeye: leave mcafee..
go for bitdefender
trendmicro
quickheal
avg
kaspersky
which ever suits for your purchase, take it..
but 1st and 2nd is good and i am using it
Pete: I use Avast, it's free off their website, it seems to do the job.
Korko: The question of best antivirus always comes down to a personal opinion, but here is mine.
For free antivirus i recommend AVG Free Edition, but if you are willing to pay then i very highly recommend ESET Smart Security. It has the highest detection rates, fastest scanning time. And i found it also has the smallest impact on my system performance
Revanu: for free if you have the power sue bit dfender and AVG both of which are free and kill anything that the other cant.
dfinci: PC Tools Threat Fire is PC Magazine Editor's choice anti-virus that is most effective.
ThreatFire's patent-pending ActiveDefense
technology offers protection against all types of internet threats
- both known and unknown - spyware, adware, keyloggers, viruses, worms,
Trojans, rootkits, buffer overflows, and other malware.
