--HELP! Massive Malicious VIRUS on Laptop!!--?
OK so my mate gave me a link to a site where I wanted to see an old school game and play it. I willingly clicked it and got a MASSIVE VIRUS. I cannot get rid of it. I've scanned a hundred times with AVG 8.0 and Malwarebytes. No pop ups from AVG keep saying about TRACKING COOKIES!! What can I do to get rid of it... Or will I have to resort to Wiping my whole computer :( IM really devo as I use this laptop for leisure AND WORK!! Is there a completely free software/freeware for deleting cookies?
All answer appreciated! Thanks in advance

onlinegameaddict: try superantispy... just google it
Download Super Anti Spyware

akshat86: first get someone to make sure that you have a virus on your computer in the first place.. cookies aren't viruses and malicious cookies are never detected.. so first make sure you have a virus.. and if you do have a virus and it can not be detected then the best policy is to format the computer no matter what.

AMD Processor: in your problem that is not a virus but it tracks your internet connection and it can lead your laptop to be hijack. to prevent it download a SPYBOT it is free software that tracks spyware viruses and problem and it can fix it... remember to at the first time you reboot your computer a tea timer will start when you log-in so after it disable the tea timer it slows your computer log on ...good luck.

Neo: if you are concerned about the tracking cookies, then there is nothing much to worry about. You can eliminate it by using NoScript plugin with firefox browser

ducttape411: use ccleaner, and next time use firefox, so it doesn't happen agaiin..
